PDP National Convention Holds In Ibadan Amid Tight Security And Judicial Controversies

Delegates from all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory converged on the main bowl of the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, for the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), convened to elect new national officers.

The convention, scheduled for November 15 and 16, 2025, witnessed the steady arrival of delegates adorned in the party’s colours—green, white, and red—as they awaited the commencement of the election proceedings later in the evening.

Meanwhile, the buildup to the convention has been accompanied by legal tensions, following conflicting rulings issued by the Federal High Court in Abuja and the Oyo State High Court.
