Governor Adeleke Hails PDP Restructuring, Praises Peaceful Ward Congresses

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has applauded the successful restructuring and expansion of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across the state, describing the party as the most trusted and popular political platform in Osun.

In a statement issued by Spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, after the conclusion of the PDP’s statewide ward congresses, Governor Adeleke expressed delight at the peaceful conduct of the exercise, noting that the outcome demonstrated the growing strength of the party.

He said his recent unscheduled visits to various parts of the state confirmed the people’s overwhelming love for both the PDP and his administration.

“Osun people acknowledge that our party and its government not only mean well but have also demonstrated strong capacity to deliver on good governance across all sectors of the state economy,” the Governor stated.

Highlighting a series of endorsements from interest groups across the state, Adeleke said the PDP had emerged as the party with the widest grassroots support in recent Osun political history.

According to him, “Unsolicited endorsements of our party and government have become almost a weekly occurrence, affirming our performance and electability.”

He congratulated the PDP leadership, led by Sunday Bisi, as well as other stakeholders, including his Chief of Staff, for their efforts in ensuring the successful conduct of the ward congresses.

Adeleke stressed that while rival parties grapple with internal crises, the PDP continues to consolidate its hold as the party of the people ahead of 2026.

Reaffirming his commitment to delivering good governance, the Governor assured Osun residents that his administration would continue to prioritize infrastructure development and the welfare of the people.
