Aiyedatiwa Reaffirms Commitment To Quality Education, Inaugurates TESCOM Board

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has restated his administration’s commitment to revitalizing the state’s education sector through deliberate policies and sustained investments.

Speaking at the inauguration of the newly appointed members of the Ondo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) held at the Governor’s Office, Alagbaka, Akure, Aiyedatiwa lauded the dedication of teachers across the state, describing them as pivotal to the government’s vision for quality education.

He urged the new TESCOM board to uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and accountability in their operations, particularly in matters relating to teachers’ postings and welfare.

The Governor also emphasized the importance of continuous professional development, charging the board to prioritize capacity building and modern teaching techniques to improve learning outcomes in schools.

In his remarks, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, encouraged the board members to discharge their duties with diligence and integrity, keeping the interests of both teachers and students in focus.

Responding on behalf of other members, the new TESCOM Chairman, Dr. Oludaisi Oke, expressed gratitude to the governor for the confidence reposed in them, pledging to work tirelessly toward advancing education in Ondo State.

Other members of the TESCOM Board are Mr. Ajani Oladipupo, Mrs. Titilayo Fayoriju, Mrs. Ojuolape Adefemi, and Alhaji Isiaka Usman, alongside representatives from the PTA, ASSUT, and the Ministries of Education, Finance, and Budget.
