For PDP To Win Lagos, Bode George Must Be Expelled – Jandor
Former Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olajide Adeniran (Jandor), has blamed Chief Bode George for the party’s repeated failures in the state. According to Jandor, the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) member has consistently worked against the party’s governorship candidates, undermining their chances of success in Lagos.

Bode George Accused of Sabotaging PDP Candidates
Speaking in an interview with News Central on Wednesday, Jandor expressed disappointment over Chief Bode George’s alleged actions, stating that the party veteran should have supported the party’s chosen candidate in each election cycle. Instead, he claimed that Bode George has actively opposed every PDP governorship candidate in Lagos, a trend that has hurt the party’s chances.
“If PDP at the national level wants Lagos PDP to do better or make an attempt to win the state, Chief Bode George should be expelled from the party,” Jandor declared.
He listed past PDP governorship candidates, including Jimi Agbaje, Musiliu Obanikoro, and the late Funso Williams, all of whom, according to him, faced similar opposition from Bode George.
“All of us can’t just be bad. There is something that is wrong with that person’s character. And just like I said yesterday, just don’t grow old and suddenly become irresponsible. It has a lot to do with your character, growing-up background, and all of that. So at that level, something needs to shift,” he added.
PDP’s Repeated Electoral Losses in Lagos
Jandor lamented that PDP has loyal members in Lagos who are committed to the party’s success. However, he accused Bode George of frustrating their efforts in every election cycle, likening his influence to an annulment of victory similar to June 12, 1993.
“Every election cycle, irrespective of whoever is holding that ticket, and we don’t know why, it’s always like that,” he said.
He further emphasized that the party, not the candidate, was on the ballot and that BoT members are supposed to serve as the conscience of the party by ensuring unity and victory.
“There was a primary election, a particular candidate emerged on that primary election, then the party must rally around that person to win for the party, ultimately,” Jandor stressed.
Calls for PDP Reforms in Lagos
Jandor’s call for Bode George’s expulsion reflects growing frustration within Lagos PDP regarding internal divisions and persistent electoral failures. Many party supporters believe that resolving internal conflicts is essential for PDP to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state effectively.
As PDP prepares for future elections, the party’s national leadership may face pressure to address internal disputes and reposition the party for a stronger electoral performance in Lagos.
