The attack, which occurred on Sunday, February 23, targeted NANS members who were traveling to Abuja for their annual convention. Responding promptly to the distress call, police officers were dispatched to the scene, where they restored order and ensured the safety of the victims. The law enforcement agency then launched an immediate manhunt to track down those responsible for the attack.

“Intelligence gathered revealed that this was not the first time NANS members had been targeted in the same community,” Odunlami stated.
