Osun, Lagos unrest: Ologbondiyan holds Tinubu responsible

Kola Ologbondiyan, a former PDP national publicity secretary, has charged that President Bola Tinubu is attempting to turn Nigeria into a one-party state. In a statement released on Tuesday, Ologbondiyan claimed that President Tinubu's intention to sabotage opposition politics is to blame for the current political crises in Osun State, Lagos State, and Bauchi State.

Kola Ologbondiyan, a former PDP national publicity secretary, has charged that President Bola Tinubu is attempting to turn Nigeria into a one-party state.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Ologbondiyan claimed that President Tinubu’s intention to sabotage opposition politics is to blame for the current political crises in Osun State, Lagos State, and Bauchi State.
He drew attention to the political disputes in Osun State between Governor Ademola Adeleke and Minister of Maritime Economy Gboyega Oyetola, and Bauchi State between Foreign Affairs Minister Maitama Tuggar and Governor Bala Mohammed.

“Over the past several days, there have been signs that the Bola Tinubu administration is using anti-democratic tactics in both language and policy.

NSA Nuhu Ribadu’s warlike order that Canada should go “to hell” over a visa-related matter that could have been settled at a diplomatic roundtable was the first.

The Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuf Tuggar, has been occupied “with Domestic Affairs in Bauchi on an eye-service fight against Governor Bala Mohammed, abandoning his forte to Ribadu.” Tuggar’s job is to engage in diplomatese.

The governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, raised the flag on Sunday by warning the world about a potential attack on his state, which he claimed was being planned by ‘the cousin’ of Bola Tinubu, the former governor and current Marine Business Minister, Gboyega Oyetola.

“Several bodies were bagged as the incident shook Osun State yesterday and fled in its gales.

Senator Ajibola Bashiru, the APC’s national secretary, has already publicly demanded a state of emergency in Osun State. It goes without saying that the attack on the state was caused by this careless demand,” he stated.

The former PDP spokesperson issued a warning that peace in the state would be jeopardized if the political crisis involving the Speaker, Mojisola Miranda, of the Lagos State House of Assembly was not resolved.

Yesterday, a long-brewing deception in the Lagos State House of Assembly came to light.

The removal of Madam Speaker and the forcible return of Mr. Speaker to office were the targets of a planned attempt. This comedy of errors could end horribly if it isn’t stopped in its tracks.

According to public reports, DSS and police security personnel operated against LSHA’s intentions.
