Anthony Joshua targets Fury or Dubois for next fight, says Hearn

According to his promoter Eddie Hearn, former two-time heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua is eagerly awaiting a rematch with IBF champion Daniel Dubois and a much-anticipated bout with Tyson Fury.
Following a devastating knockout loss to Dubois at Wembley Stadium last year, British-Nigerian fighter Anthony Joshua is looking to re-establish himself in the heavyweight title scenario.

Joshua is ecstatic about his comeback to the ring after closely watching the previous boxing contests in Saudi Arabia, where Joseph Parker defeated last-minute replacement Martin Bakole and Agit Kabayel defeated Zhilei Zhang.

Hearn said Joshua seemed energized by the thrilling environment of the fights, which suggested a newfound sense of purpose.

Hearn told Sky Sports, “He (Joshua) was really excited about coming back after the whole night.” “I think scheduling a rematch with Daniel Dubois would be the best course of action. A second chance to win the world heavyweight title is undoubtedly what Joshua wants.

Hearn talked about Joshua’s desire to fight Tyson Fury, who declared his retirement earlier this year after suffering back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk, in addition to indicating interest in a matchup with Dubois.

If the conditions are right and he feels ready, an Anthony Joshua bout might be the enticement that entices him to return.

However, Sky Sports Boxing commentator Johnny Nelson has suggested that a rematch with Joseph Parker, who lost to Joshua via unanimous decision in 2018, could be another fascinating alternative for Joshua.

With Anthony Joshua spectating from the ring, Nelson hinted, “I have a strong feeling that Daniel Dubois may go on to face Oleksandr Usyk.” Joshua might have a new opponent lined up if Dubois keeps going in this path and Parker wins today, which might dissuade him from facing Dubois again.
