Governor lucky Aiyedatiwa has presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill of six hundred and fifty five billion naira (650,000,000) to the Ond state House of Assembly.

The Governor presented the document tagged “BUDGET OF RECOVERY” at a plenary precised over by the Speaker of the House, Mr. Olamide Oladiji.

According to Governor Aiyedatiwa, the budget has a recurrent expenditure of two hundred and fourty eight billion naira while the Capital Expenditure is expected to gulp a little above four hundred and six billion naira.

He said that the administration had taken all the necessary steps to ensure that the 2025 Budget addressed economic challenges of the coming year and ensure that more emphasis were laid on people oriented projects.

A breakdown of the budget showed infrastructural development has 30.4%, followed by public finance with 19%, Education has 11.8% with the intention of investing massively in security, agriculture, electricity among others.

The Governor, who commended the House of Assembly for its cooperation with his administration over the past years, urged the lawmakers to speedily consider the 2025 Appropriation Bill for prompt passage for the benefit of Ondo State people.

In his address, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Mr. Olamide Oladiji commended the Governor and gave the assurance that the 2025 Budget Proposal would be given accelerated passage.
