Ogun State Police Declare Singer Portable Wanted After Attack on Government Officials
The Ogun State Police Command has issued a warrant for the arrest of popular musician Habeeb Olalomi, known by his stage name Portable, following an alleged assault on government officials.

The incident, which took place on February 5, 2025, involved officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development who were conducting an inspection in Ota. The officials, identified as Onabanjo Abidemi, Raymond Lateef, and Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi, were at a property in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, to verify compliance with building regulations.
They encountered an elderly man, later found to be Portable’s father, who informed them that his son was not present.
However, Portable soon arrived with a firearm and nine accomplices, leading to a violent confrontation with the officials. The unarmed officials sustained injuries but managed to escape and report the assault to the Ota Area Command, which subsequently escalated the matter to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
While nine of the accomplices were apprehended, Portable has since evaded arrest. Police spokesperson Omolola Odutola revealed that Portable had ignored several summons to appear at the police station.
“Due to his persistent avoidance, the Ogun State Police have now declared him wanted with a court order,” Odutola stated. She urged the public to assist in locating Portable, warning that anyone found aiding or sheltering him would face legal repercussions.
The police encouraged citizens to report any sightings or information to the nearest police station or through official channels of the Ogun State Police Command.
This latest development follows the arraignment of nine of Portable’s associates in an Abeokuta Magistrate Court two weeks prior. Charged with crimes including felony, assault, unlawful detention, and weapon possession, they were named as Nurudeen Warris, Adetola Alashe, Samuel Adeleke, Oluwaseun Ayenuwa, Oluwapelumi Adeosun, Gospel Kanu, Precious Ohiegebo, Ifeoluwa Babatunde, and Fatimo Muhammed. They were granted bail at N5 million each, with the case next scheduled for March 17.
