Queen Omolara Haastrup Pledges Women’s Empowerment in Ijesaland

Wife of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adesuyi Clement Haastrup, the newly installed Owa Adimula of Ijesaland, Queen Omolara Haastrup has assured women of greater inclusion and development under the reign of her husband.

In statement made available to journalists, Queen Haastrup expressed her gratitude to the traditional kingmakers, chiefs, and the people of Ijesaland for their role in the selection of Oba Haastrup as the paramount ruler of the Ijesa dynasty.

She also commended the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, for approving the appointment through the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

The Queen called on the people of Ijesaland to support the leadership of Oba Haastrup, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to progress, unity, and cultural heritage.

Underscoring the importance of women in societal development, Queen Haastrup reiterated her dedication to promoting women’s empowerment and active participation in the affairs of the kingdom. She noted that inclusive governance is essential to achieving sustainable development in the region.
