Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) for 2023, has come under fire from the All Progressives Congress (APC) for a political threat.
According to Naija News, Kwankwaso had bragged that in the upcoming general elections in 2027, he would reduce the APC’s voting parentage to fewer than 15,000 votes, rendering it a non-political issue in Kano.

Prince Abdullahi Abbas, the state APC chairman, urged Kwankwaso to put aside his daydreaming and focus his energies on rejoining the NNPP in a statement released on Thursday.

Abbas described Kwankwaso as a political refugee without value and has become a wanderer in the political terrain.

According to him, Kwankwaso’s statement is laughable, especially from somebody who lost a political camp after being allegedly sacked by the NNPP.

The APC chieftain said Kwankwaso is an imposter who has chosen to cling to Governor Abba Yusuf like a leech in a futile attempt to regain relevance in the scheme of things in the country.

He further warned Kwankwaso and his ilks that it would not allow a repeat of the vote manipulation and allocation that created the impression that the NNPP is well rooted in Kano State in the 2023 general election.

From his Miller Road castle, Abbas asserted that the APC is already poised to retake Kano State and protect its citizens from Kwankwaso’s excessive dominance.

The message went on to say, “Kwankwaso was expelled from the NNPP for his ignorance and selfishness, so our hordes of APC supporters have no reason to be concerned about him. We anticipate that Kwankwaso will continue to question why he has wandered aimlessly through the political landscape.

“He ran away from APC because he couldn’t fit into our progressive ideals. His over-bloated ego and domineering posture forced him to abandon the PDP and he has now become a political refugee because the NNPP refused to accommodate him.”
