Aiyedatiwa Unveils ₦492.79bn “Budget Of Economic Consolidation” For Ondo State

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to driving industrial development, strengthening healthcare and education, and enhancing infrastructure across Ondo State.
He stated this while presenting the 2026 Appropriation Bill, valued at ₦492.79 billion, to the Ondo State House of Assembly.
The proposal, tagged “Budget of Economic Consolidation,” is aimed at deepening ongoing reforms, expanding critical infrastructure, and boosting key sectors to ensure long-term economic sustainability.
The Governor also revealed that the previously approved 2025 budget had been revised downward from ₦698.6 billion to ₦489.8 billion.
This adjustment, he explained, was necessary following unmet revenue projections from donor-funded sources, prompting the state to reprioritize its spending and reduce reliance on external inflows.
