David Adeleke, better known as Davido, is a Nigerian musician who has hinted that he would think about a career in politics.

The Afrobeats musician presented this concept as a guest speaker at a recent event in Abuja.

Davido did not completely rule out a career in politics when asked about it. “Let me continue singing for the time being; I believe I am doing a good job at my job, which is music.”

“You know, politics is complicated in Nigeria,” he continued. It’s complex, but it’s sweet. We can only hope and pray that things improve over time because this is our nation and we cannot leave. I’m hopeful. In addition to being excited about the younger generation’s gradual involvement in governance, I always tell people that they are growing older and wiser.

After winning the 2022 election, Davido’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke, a well-known politician, is now the governor of Osun State.
