Gunmen have reportedly attacked the Old Oyo National Park in Oyo State, sparking renewed concerns over security around protected areas in the South-West.

According to preliminary reports, the armed men stormed parts of the national park late Tuesday night, targeting security facilities and personnel on duty. Sources said the attackers were heavily armed and operated for several minutes before retreating into the forest.
