The flag-off ceremony, themed “Flow With Confidence,” held at Ataoja School of Science, Osogbo, drew government officials, educators, women leaders, and development partners.

In her remarks, Mrs. Adeleke expressed profound appreciation to Senator Tinubu for her “unwavering support for girl-child development” and her commitment to improving education, health, and social welfare nationwide.
Addressing the barriers many girls face during menstruation, she stressed, “In today’s modern world, no girl should miss school because she cannot afford sanitary products. It is unacceptable that girls, especially those in rural communities, still face such challenges and lose valuable school days every month.”
Speaking directly to beneficiaries, she encouraged them to use the pads responsibly.

“This is for you. Make the most of it. Do not sell the pads. Stay in school, study hard, support one another, and never let shame or stigma rob you of your confidence. You are the future of this nation.”
Commissioner for Education, Hon. Dipo Eluwole, commended the First Lady for her “motherly leadership” and reiterated the strides recorded in Osun’s education sector.
Other speakers, including Ms. Lola Adewale, Director of Gender Affairs; Chief (Mrs.) Alice Otunla, Osun PDP Women Leader; and Dr. (Mrs.) Olunike Adeleke, praised Senator Tinubu for extending the dividends of democracy directly to students through the RHI.
Facilitators at the event educated the girls on proper menstrual hygiene, explaining the benefits of the sanitary pads and emphasizing safe, hygienic practices to prevent infections, manage odors, and stay comfortable during their periods.
The event was graced by Mr. M.A.K. Jimoh, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education; wives of commissioners; Chief (Mrs.) Mary Oyebode, Iyaloja-General of Osun State; Mr. Adebowale Sulaimon, Director of Child Development; Executive Secretaries; Zonal Inspectors; Tutors-General; and Local Government Education Inspectors from across the state.
