Ondo Amotekun Deploys Fresh Security Measures To Protect Schools Amid Kidnapping Fears
The Ondo State Amotekun Corps has rolled out new security strategies to safeguard schools across the state and its border communities, following rising cases of student abductions in parts of the country.
Amotekun Commander, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed in Akure that the enhanced measures include round-the-clock patrols and covert operations aimed at preventing terror attacks and ensuring the safety of schoolchildren.
He made the announcement while parading 16 suspects, including three alleged kidnappers, arrested under the ongoing ember-months border security operation, codenamed Operation Le Won Jade.

Among those apprehended were vandals accused of stealing public infrastructure.
Chief Adeleye explained that the new security arrangements are being carried out in close collaboration with the Nigerian Army, the Police, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), adding that joint efforts have been intensified to deter criminal activities and keep schools safe.
