The State Executive Council has been disbanded by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State.

Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor’s chief press secretary, made this announcement in Akure, the capital of Ondo state, on Wednesday. Commissioners, Special Advisers, and the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) are among the members of the state executive council. However, because of the crucial nature of their positions, Aiyedatiwa excluded two cabinet members from the dissolution.

Among them are Omowunmi Isaac, the Commissioner for Finance, and Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.

“All the affected cabinet members have to hand over all government properties in their custody to the accounting officers of their respective ministries,” Adeniyan added in the statement. The governor wished the executive council members luck in their future endeavors and thanked them “for their dedication and contributions to the development of Ondo State under his administration.”
