EKSU Reassures Campus Community After Viral Bandit Threat Video

The management of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has reassured the public of the institution’s safety following a viral video in which a suspected bandit threatened to attack EKSU and the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology (BOUESTI), Ikere-Ekiti.

In a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti, the Head of EKSU’s Directorate of Information, Dr. Bode Olofinmuagun, dismissed the fears sparked by the video, stressing that the university remains safe and fully secured.

He affirmed that the institution is not taking security matters lightly, noting that security agencies and the university’s internal security unit have been placed on high alert to prevent any threat or breach.
