Following the presentation of the report by Sa’ad Olumoh, the chairman of the Joint Committee on Appropriation and Finance, the Lagos State House of Assembly cleared the N3.366 trillion Appropriation Bill yesterday.
Speaker Mudashiru Obasa instructed the House Clerk to send Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu a clean copy of the approved law so he could sign it.
He gave his coworkers credit for their diligence in getting the budget passed.
According to a breakdown of the financial forecasts, capital expenditures will cost N2.071 trillion, while recurring expenditures will cost N1.295 trillion.
The clauses are derived from constitutional amendments that have an impact on local governments.
A bill to combine all of the state’s laws pertaining to local government administration was also approved by the House.
