The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has accused the Oyo State Government of demolishing and damaging critical railway infrastructure within the state, raising fresh concerns over the safety and protection of federal transport assets.

In a statement, the corporation alleged that sections of railway property and installations were destroyed during ongoing state projects, warning that such actions could disrupt rail operations and compromise national transport development efforts.

The NRC described the incident as unauthorized and called for immediate intervention to prevent further damage, stressing that railway infrastructure remains a federal asset under its control.

The Oyo State Government has yet to officially respond to the allegations at the time of filing this report.
