Continuous Voter Registration, or CVR, will start in the state’s first quarter of 2025, according to Dr. Mutiu Agboke, the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) resident electoral commissioner for Osun.

This came as he urged the commission’s employees to get ready for the upcoming assignment, particularly the 2026 gubernatorial election. This disclosure was made by Dr. Agboke on Tuesday at the Osun State INEC Office in Osogbo at the formal welcome ceremony for Dr. (Mrs.) Segun—Osifeso Margaret Oluwafunmike, the new Administrative Secretary.

He urged the incoming Administrative Secretary to make her office’s influence known while highlighting the importance of the position and the willingness to work in 2025. “We must demonstrate that seriousness,” he remarked.

This is crucial for INEC. Since we are an organization, we ought to be taken seriously.I must have sensed that the administrative secretary’s office was filled. Please, since this is the year of seriousness, it needs to be evident right away.

All eyes will be on Osun State by this time next year as the Continuous Voter Registration process for the state begins in the first quarter of this year. Your spirit, intellect, and focus must be on your work.

Agboke admonished the employees to adopt a new mindset about work and advised them to be in the pysche for work in 2025.
