PDP Expels Wike, Fayose, Anyanwu, Others Over Anti-Party Activities

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the expulsion of several high-profile members for alleged anti-party activities, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, and former Imo governorship candidate Senator Samuel Anyanwu.

Also expelled from the party are National Legal Adviser Adeyemi Ajibade (SAN), Umar Bature, AbdulRahman Mohammed, Mao Ohuabunwa, George Turner, Austin Nwachukwu, Abraham Ammah, and Dan Orbih.

The decision was revealed by PDP founding member and Board of Trustees (BoT) chieftain, Chief Bode George, who moved the motion for their expulsion. The motion was unanimously adopted by delegates at the party’s Elective National Convention held in Ibadan under the supervision of Acting National Chairman, Ilya Damagum.

In a related development, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, moved another motion seeking the ratification of the party’s executive structures at all levels—wards, local governments, and states—where congresses had been successfully conducted.

However, Governor Makinde announced that congresses held in Imo, Abia, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, and Rivers States had been nullified. Consequently, the national convention resolved to dissolve all party structures in those states.

Makinde added that the dissolution of the affected state executives would be officially published for public awareness.
