As the stolen vehicle and other looted goods are being taken away, Surulere Division agents were quickly called in and sent to pursue the armed robbers after receiving a tip from the vehicle’s owner. The car was found, one of the suspects escaped, and two of the suspects were captured as a direct result of the police efforts,” it stated.

The State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba has been instructed to take over the case by Commissioner of Police Olohundare Jimoh “for discreet investigation, to arrest other members of the Armed Robbery Gang, erase their network, and recover the remaining robbed items, and their other operational equipment.”

The recovery of the plundered vehicle and other expensive commodities and items, as well as the prompt response and arrest of the suspected armed robbers, were praised by him.

He urged Lagos residents to maintain their faith in the ability of the Lagos State Police Command to protect them.

The police chief also asked locals to report any suspicious activity to the closest police station, as well as any concerns they may have about crime or safety threats.
