With his sixth album, Morayo, Nigerian Afrobeats phenomenon Wizkid has created history by being the first album to have every single track appear on the Billboard Afrobeats Chart for eight weeks in a row.
All 16 of the album’s tracks remained in their respective positions on the list, securing this incredible accomplishment for the tracking week of January 25, 2025.

“Lose” rounds out the unprecedented run with an entry at No. 45, while “Piece of My Heart,” starring Brent Faiyaz, leads the pack at No. 5.

This marks yet another significant achievement for Morayo, an album that has broken numerous records, including the record for the most first-week Spotify Nigeria streams.

Additionally, Morayo became the first album to receive at least 500,000 plays on Spotify Nigeria on its first day of release. The American artist Brent Faiyaz’s “Piece of My Heart,” which was released on November 22, 2025, set a new record for the most opening day streams on Spotify Nigeria. Wizkid’s “Dance (Kese)” later overtook it. Asake, Jazmine Sullivan, Tiakola, and Anais Cardot are among the guests on the album, which bears the name of Wizkid’s late mother, who was buried in a lavish ceremony in 2024.

The Grammy winner graced the stage with Burna Boy and Davido at the Oando End-of-Year Party, among other events in Lagos, where he played songs from the album. After his most recent project was out, Wizkid made hints about going on tour in 2025. The release of tour dates, which will let fans to see live performances of their favorite Wizkid songs, is widely anticipated.
