Speaking to The Ring’s Mike Coppinger, Joshua explained that he had studied Deontay Wilder’s approach during his trilogy with Fury and believes the American’s eagerness to finish his opponent after hurting him sometimes drained his energy.
Joshua said Fury’s ability to withstand pressure and recover showed why patience and composure would be important in their upcoming encounter. “I’m going to keep a calm head,” Joshua said, indicating that he would not allow frustration or the desire for an early knockout to dictate his tactics.
The December 11 clash will bring together two of Britain’s biggest heavyweight names in a contest expected to attract global attention. According to the records provided in the report, Joshua has 30 wins, four defeats and 27 knockouts, while Fury has 36 victories, two losses and one draw, with 25 knockouts. Both fighters will be looking to secure a major victory in one of the most closely anticipated matchups in British boxing.
