The budget, which reflects the administration’s commitment to inclusive growth, infrastructure expansion, and improved social services, was passed by the Ogun State House of Assembly after weeks of legislative scrutiny.

Speaking shortly after signing the bill, Governor Abiodun described the 2026 budget as a strategic roadmap aimed at consolidating ongoing developmental projects while accelerating economic growth across key sectors of the state.
According to him, the appropriation framework prioritises infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, and job creation, in line with his administration’s “Building Our Future Together” agenda.
The governor also commended members of the State House of Assembly for their cooperation and timely passage of the bill, noting that such synergy between the executive and legislative arms remains crucial to achieving sustainable development in Ogun State.
With the signing of the 2026 Appropriation Law, the state government is expected to commence full implementation to drive economic resilience and improve the welfare of residents.
