The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed confidence that the party will emerge victorious in the August 15 governorship election in Osun State, declaring that nothing will stop the APC from reclaiming the state’s Government House.

Yilwatda made the declaration on Tuesday while inaugurating the party’s National Campaign Council for the Osun governorship election. He described the APC as the strongest political force in Nigeria and said the party possesses the structure, experience and manpower required to defeat its opponents at the polls.

“Nothing will stop us from taking over the Government House this August,” Yilwatda stated, expressing optimism that the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), would secure victory in the election.

The APC chairman disclosed that the party would deploy its governors, members of the National Assembly, local government chairmen and other key stakeholders to strengthen grassroots mobilisation across the state. According to him, the party’s extensive political network would be fully activated to engage voters and build support for the APC candidate.

He urged party members and supporters to remain united and committed to the campaign, stressing that victory in Osun would further strengthen the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Yilwatda emphasized the importance of taking the campaign to every community in the state, noting that direct engagement with voters would remain a key strategy in the party’s quest to return to power in Osun.

He maintained that the APC is fully prepared for the election and will intensify its mobilisation efforts in the coming weeks to ensure that Oyebamiji emerges as the next governor of Osun State.
