The Court of Appeal has set aside the judgment that ordered the deregistration of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Accord Party and several other political parties, declaring the earlier decision a nullity.

The appellate court, in its judgment delivered on Monday, July 28, 2026, held that the ruling which sought to deregister the affected political parties could not stand in law. By nullifying the judgment, the court restored the legal status of the affected parties, allowing them to continue operating as duly registered political parties.
