Remedy Yange, a Benue State employee of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, was discovered dead on a Lagos street. A video of Yange’s lifeless body by the side of the road with onlookers attempting to identify him is making the rounds on social media. His identifying card (ID card), which was recovered in a bag next to his body, was used to determine his name and place of employment.

According to reports, the deceased agent was in Lagos on leave to spend time with his family. Dele Oyewale, the EFCC spokesperson, acknowledged the occurrence and stated that an investigation was being conducted to determine Yange’s cause of death. This is the second time in recent memory that an EFCC officer has been reported dead, according to the NEWSWORLD. According to the agency, assistant superintendent officer Aminu Salisu was slain in Anambra on January 19. Joshua Ikechukwu, a suspected online scammer, is accused of killing Salisu during an operation in Anambra.

The spokesman for the anti-graft organization claimed that the deceased officer was slain while performing a lawful task. He restated that despite investigators’ courteous request for entry, the suspect would not open his door after spotting them on CCTV and cameras placed at his door. Ikechukwu was implicated in coding and online medical supplies of questionable legality, according to the EFCC image maker’s preliminary findings.
