Oyedele said concerns have been raised within the National Assembly over discrepancies between the versions of the tax bills approved by lawmakers and the final documents being prepared for implementation. He stressed that any form of alteration outside the legislative process could undermine trust and derail the reform agenda.

According to him, lawmakers are insisting on a thorough review to ensure that the final tax framework reflects what was duly passed, adding that transparency and due process must be upheld to avoid constitutional conflicts.
If the issues are not resolved promptly, the January 2026 implementation timeline may be postponed, as the National Assembly considers exercising its oversight powers to protect the integrity of the law.
