Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has filed a lawsuit against the Turkish journalist who claimed that he assaulted him at an African restaurant two weeks ago. The hearing is scheduled to begin today. Prior to becoming himself in the dispute with a journalist last week, the on-loan Napoli player was spearheading Galatarsary’s drive in the Turkish topflight and the UEFA Europa League with goals and assists. He has been having a fresh lease on life in the Turkish Super Lig. Following Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw with Dynamo Kyiv two weeks ago, a Turkish journalist called Tolga Bozduman recently accused Osimhen of hitting him when he attempted to capture pictures of the Super Eagles player.  The striker has subsequently refuted the allegations.

“They are lying; I did not strike the journalists. You must have authorization before you can flash your face during an interview. I insisted that they remove my pictures. In a video that Pesindeyiz Galatasaray cited, he stated, “I would have hit them if I had wanted to.” According to a recent report by radio host Buchi Laba, Osimhen is suing the journalist for defamation, and the case is scheduled to begin on Monday (today).

Osimhen reportedly stated, “If I hit him, he is going to get justice and if he lied, he is going to get the wrath of the law,” Ever since joining Galatasaray last summer, Osimhen has been playing well. In 21 games for the Turkish powerhouses, the Super Eagles star has 16 goals and five assists.
