An anonymous officer from the Lagos State command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has been reportedly injured after being shot purportedly by a security professional in police garb.
The event occurred during an enforcement operation targeting fraudulent number plates, part of a bigger program conducted by the FRSC under the Lagos Sector Command.

According to Channels Television, the Corps Commander, Kehinde Hamzat, who was monitoring the operation, did not disclose detailed details regarding the incident as of the time of reporting this story.
However, he advised journalists to remain patient as he investigates the circumstances surrounding this terrible tragedy.

It is currently unclear whether the security professional involved is affiliated to the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), and as of this report, there have been no announcements from police authorities in Lagos regarding the situation.
