Speaker Abbas Felicitates Nigerians At 65th Independence Anniversary

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has congratulated Nigerians on the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary, urging citizens to remain optimistic about a brighter future.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Leke Baiyewu, Abbas reflected on Nigeria’s journey through a chequered history, noting that the years ahead hold the promise of greater unity and prosperity.

He acknowledged that Nigeria is blessed with vast human and material resources but emphasized the need for collective effort in building the nation.

“Nigeria remains on the right path with the ongoing implementation of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Speaker encouraged citizens not to lose faith in the face of security and socio-economic challenges, calling for prayers, patriotism, and obedience to the law.

Abbas further assured that the 10th National Assembly is committed to delivering accountable leadership, ensuring good governance, and promoting the dividends of democracy, especially at the grassroots.
