The remark comes amid a lingering rift between the two রাজনৈতিক figures, which has persisted since the governor’s second-term victory. While Abiodun had earlier expressed disappointment over the lack of support from some National Assembly members he helped into office, Daniel maintained that he and his loyalists contributed meaningfully to the governor’s emergence, especially in the context of internal developments within the Ogun PDP at the time.

Daniel also raised concerns about what he described as insufficient recognition of political contributions, stressing that leadership should focus more on collective progress than personal interests. As the state gradually looks ahead to another political cycle, he called for maturity in leadership, urging stakeholders to prioritize unity and the overall development of Ogun State above individual ego.
