APC National Secretary urges party leaders to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of August 15 poll, describes election as crucial to Osun’s future.

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, has expressed confidence that the ruling party will secure victory in the August 15 governorship election in Osun State, saying the APC is prepared to deploy its experience, organisational capacity and collective strength to reclaim power in the state.

Naija News reports that Basiru made the declaration during a high-level strategic meeting of the party held at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja. The meeting brought together key party leaders and stakeholders to fine-tune strategies ahead of the crucial governorship poll.

Describing the election as a defining moment for the future of Osun State, Basiru urged party leaders at all levels to intensify mobilisation efforts across the state, strengthen grassroots engagement and ensure that eligible voters turn out in large numbers on election day.

According to him, the APC remains confident in its structures, leadership and electoral machinery, insisting that the party possesses the experience and capacity required to emerge victorious.

“The party will deploy its experience, capacity and collective resolve to secure victory in the August 15 governorship election in Osun State,” Basiru said.

The APC national secretary stressed that unity among party members would be critical to achieving success, urging leaders to work together and avoid actions capable of undermining the party’s chances at the polls.

He called on party faithful to remain committed to the campaign, engage directly with voters across the state and promote the party’s programmes and vision for Osun.

Basiru also described the forthcoming governorship election as one of the most significant political contests in the state, maintaining that its outcome would shape Osun’s political and developmental direction for years to come.
