According to People Magazine, the eight-year legal battle came to a head on Monday when famous actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie approved a divorce deal.
James Simon, Jolie’s lawyer, told the publication that Jolie was “focused on finding peace and healing for their family” and verified the settlement.

According to Simon, “this is merely one phase of a lengthy ongoing process that started eight years ago.” “To be honest, Angelina is tired, but she is glad that this particular phase is gone.”

Once the most well-known couple in Hollywood, Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016 and has been embroiled in a legal battle ever since.

The couple’s custody agreement for their six children—three of whom are adopted—was established in 2018, but it seems to have fallen apart since then.

Jolie, 49, and Pitt, 61, are also involved in a separate legal dispute over the sale of Jolie’s portion of Chateau Miraval, the vineyard in southern France where the pair got married.

Following their roles as married assassins in the 2005 movie “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” Pitt and Jolie first became romantically involved. At the time, Pitt was wed to Jennifer Aniston.
