The Night of Tributes is scheduled for 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Glover Memorial Hall, 4 Customs Street, Marina, Lagos Island. Guests are expected to appear in shades of blue for the event, which will provide an opportunity for colleagues, friends, family members and admirers to pay their final tributes to the veteran actor.

The funeral service will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, October 2, 2026, at This Present House, Freedom Way, Lekki Phase I, Lagos, with shades of green designated as the dress code. Olu Jacobs, who built a career spanning more than five decades in theatre, television and film, was known for his memorable roles in Nigerian and international productions. His death was announced by his wife, veteran actress Joke Silva, and their son, Olusoji Jacobs.
