Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has expressed his desire to face Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy in a boxing match after his proposed bout with skit maker Carter Efe.

Speed Darlington made the statement during an interview with Nevo Media, where he said he hoped boxing organisers would arrange a fight between him and Burna Boy after his planned encounter with Carter Efe.

The rapper said he still harbours anger over a previous arrest, which he has publicly linked to Burna Boy, and believes a boxing match would provide an opportunity to channel that anger.

According to Speed Darlington, a fight against Burna Boy would also be a major highlight for him this year.

“The plan is after I finish with the Carter Efe, I hope they can make it happen. I want Burna Boy next so I can offload all my anger on him. That would be sweet, that would be the highlight of this year,” he said.

Speed Darlington further alleged that Burna Boy was responsible for having him arrested, although the claim was presented as his allegation and was not independently established in the interview.

“He had me locked up, that’s what he did to me. That’s the deal, I can’t forgive that. Even after the fight, we are still enemies for life,” he added.

The comments come amid growing interest in celebrity boxing bouts involving Nigerian entertainers, with Speed Darlington’s proposed fight against Carter Efe generating attention online.
