A former Governor of Imo State has officially defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), becoming the party’s first registered member in the state. The ex-governor completed his registration on Monday, receiving membership number 001, a move party leaders described as a major boost for ADC’s political strength in Imo.
Speaking shortly after registering, the former governor said his decision was driven by the need to build a credible alternative platform focused on good governance, unity, and people-oriented development. He pledged to work with party members to reposition ADC ahead of future elections.
