Speaking during the livestream, Davido said the costs associated with his public profile and career go far beyond what many people imagine.
“I spend between $200,000 and $300,000 every month, and that doesn’t even include my wife’s expenses or the rest of my household,” he said.
The award-winning artiste added that the estimate also excludes the cost of purchasing luxury vehicles, jewellery and other high-value personal items.
“It also doesn’t include expenses for the purchase of luxury cars and jewellery,” he stated.
Davido, one of Africa’s most successful music exports, has built a reputation for his lavish lifestyle, luxury automobiles, expensive jewellery and philanthropic gestures over the years.
In a separate development, Davido recently reacted to a viral social media video featuring Ozonna Soludo, the son of Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo.
The clip showed Ozonna dancing and singing along to a controversial song that mentioned several prominent Nigerian political figures, including President Bola Tinubu and Governor Soludo.
The video generated widespread reactions online, particularly because Ozonna continued dancing even when the lyrics referenced his father.
Davido also found the video amusing and shared his reaction in the comment section, suggesting that Ozonna appeared unconcerned about the public attention the clip might attract.
The singer’s comment further fuelled discussions around the viral video, with many social media users joining the conversation.
