Abia State Governor, Alex Otti has said he intends to quit active politics after completing his tenure as governor of the state. The governor made this known while speaking on his political future, noting that he has no plans to remain in politics beyond his time in office.

Otti explained that his decision is driven by a desire to focus on governance and service rather than personal ambition. According to him, his entry into politics was motivated by the need to bring positive change to Abia State, not to build a lifelong political career.
