The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has restored its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) after a temporary disruption, allowing institutions to continue processing admissions for the 2026/2027 academic session.

JAMB, in a statement issued on Monday, said the CAPS platform had been “fully restored and is now operational.” The board urged universities and other institutions to accelerate their admission processes to recover the time lost during the disruption and meet the approved deadlines.

The board said public universities have until October 31, 2026, to complete their admission processes, while private universities have until November 30, 2026, to conclude the exercise.

JAMB also advised candidates who receive admission offers to accept them promptly through the CAPS platform. The board said candidates who had been waiting for their examination results should upload or verify their credentials following the release of the 2026 National Examinations Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination results.

According to JAMB, the restoration of CAPS will allow candidates, institutions and other stakeholders to continue admission activities without further delay. The board expressed regret over the inconvenience caused by the temporary disruption and thanked candidates and institutions for their patience and understanding.
