The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have announced plans to hold a solidarity rally in Abuja on Tuesday as part of efforts to press home their demands and show support for workers’ rights nationwide.

The labour centres said the rally will bring together union members and civil society groups to demonstrate unity on key national issues affecting workers and the general public.

According to the organisers, the action is aimed at drawing the attention of the Federal Government to concerns surrounding labour welfare, economic hardship, and policy decisions impacting Nigerian workers.

Union leaders called on members to turn out in large numbers, describing the rally as peaceful and lawful.

Security agencies are expected to monitor the event to ensure order, while commuters in parts of the Federal Capital Territory may experience temporary disruptions during the gathering.
