The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared that there will be no automatic tickets for any aspirant ahead of upcoming elections, insisting that all party members must emerge through duly conducted primaries.

Prof. Nentawe made this known while addressing party stakeholders, stressing that internal democracy remains a core principle of the APC and will not be compromised, regardless of status, incumbency, or influence within the party.
According to him, the party’s leadership is determined to ensure a level playing field for all aspirants, noting that transparent and credible primaries are essential to strengthening party unity and public confidence in the electoral process.
He added that the APC would strictly adhere to its constitution and the Electoral Act, warning that any attempt to circumvent the primaries process would not be tolerated, as the party prepares to present candidates with genuine grassroots support.
