Ladoja made the call on Tuesday when the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, and the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, visited him in Ibadan.

The former Oyo State governor expressed concern over the present state of the hospital, particularly what he described as an acute shortage of medical personnel. He urged the administration of President Bola Tinubu to urgently take steps to restore the hospital to an improved standard.

“I am worried about the present precarious situation of the health facility. There is also an acute shortage of medical personnel,” Ladoja said.

The Olubadan, however, commended Tinubu’s administration for efforts aimed at restoring the lost glory of UCH, stressing the need for further action to address the challenges confronting the major tertiary health institution.
