The Head of the Media and Publicity Committee of the Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council 2026, Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye, has accused Governor Ademola Adeleke of running an administration driven by nepotism and favoritism.
In a statement released by the APC chieftain, Omowaiye alleged that GovernorGovernor Adeleke has filled key government positions with family members, friends and close associates while allegedly ignoring other qualified indigenes of Osun State.

According to him, the level of nepotism under the current administration has become excessive and is raising concerns among residents and political observers in the state.
Omowaiye claimed that several appointments made by the governor were based more on personal relationships than competence, accusing the administration of prioritising loyalty over governance experience and policy expertise.
He further criticised what he described as the governor’s preference for associates who allegedly lack the necessary background and understanding required for effective public administration.
The APC spokesman also took a swipe at Adeleke’s public image, referring to him as “Mr Dancer” while alleging that many of those employed into government positions are individuals closely connected to him personally rather than professionals with governance capacity.
Government Appointment Allegations Fuel Early Campaign Debate
The remarks come as political activities ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship election continue to gather momentum, with opposition parties intensifying criticism of the Adeleke administration.
Omowaiye urged residents of Osun State to closely observe the governor’s style of leadership and prepare to vote for change in the next election cycle.
He argued that the alleged concentration of appointments among family members and loyalists could weaken public confidence in governance and reduce opportunities for broader participation by qualified citizens across the state.
While the APC spokesman accused the administration of sidelining competent indigenes, the Adeleke government has yet to officially respond to the latest allegations at the time of this report.
Governor Ademola Adeleke, who came into office under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has previously defended his administration’s appointments and policies, insisting that his government remains committed to development and inclusive governance.
The latest criticism highlights the growing political rivalry between the APC and PDP in Osun State as preparations for the 2026 governorship contest begin to intensify.
