The Osun State Police Command on Friday issued a stern warning against any attempt to disrupt the resumption of local government employees at council secretariats across the state, stressing that such actions could threaten public order and safety.

The command said it has deployed adequate personnel to all local government areas to guarantee a peaceful working environment, noting that officers will remain on ground to prevent intimidation, violence or unlawful gatherings around council premises.

According to the police, while citizens and groups have the right to express grievances, such concerns must be pursued through lawful and peaceful means. The command cautioned that any individual or group found engaging in acts capable of disrupting official activities would be dealt with in accordance with the law.

The police leadership also appealed to local government workers to carry out their duties without fear, assuring them of maximum protection, while calling on residents of the state to cooperate with security agencies to maintain peace and stability.
