To close the manpower deficit at the local government level, Governor Seyi Makinde authorized in October of last year the conversion of ad hoc employees working for the 33 Local Government Councils in the State to permanent employees.

Ademola Ojo, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, announced on Friday that the appointment letters are available for pickup, keeping the governor’s pledge.
The Commissioner observed that the employment’s due process was successfully and flawlessly followed.

He suggested that successful candidates pick up their appointment letters at the Local Government Service Commission between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm every day from Monday, February 3rd, to Thursday, February 6th, 2025.
However, Ojo stated that it is totally forbidden to obtain appointment letters through a proxy.
He wished the chosen applicants luck in their new positions and congratulated them.
