The announcement was made in a statement released on Wednesday by the Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. The newly appointed officials are Adeladan Rafiu Olarinre from Oyo State and Mukhtar Yawale Muhammed, representing the North-West geopolitical zone.
According to Naija News, the selection process was conducted with strict adherence to meritocracy, ensuring that only the most qualified candidates were chosen for these critical positions. The government aims to enhance service delivery and support national development through these appointments.

Tinubu Also Appoints New Accountant General of the Federation
In a related development, President Tinubu has also approved the appointment of Shamsedeen Babatunde Ogunjimi as the new Accountant General of the Federation. His appointment, which was officially confirmed on Tuesday, will take effect from March 7, 2025, the day the current Accountant General, Oluwatoyin Madehin, is set to retire.
Ogunjimi, aged 57, was initially announced as Madehin’s successor in December 2024. His selection follows a transparent and competitive process, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to appointing only the most qualified individuals to key government positions.
