The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, has cautioned admission seekers and their guardians to beware of fraudsters issuing fake admission letters for the 2025/2026 academic session.

In a statement signed by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Isaac Oluyi, the management said it had received reports of admission racketeers sending false offers to unsuspecting candidates via email and SMS.

The university clarified that it does not offer admission through emails, text messages, intermediaries, or social media platforms such as WhatsApp or Telegram.

According to the statement, genuine admission into UNIMED can only be confirmed through its official website, www.unimed.edu.ng.

“Admission offer at UNIMED is strictly by merit,” the statement read, while urging candidates not to fall victim to fraudulent schemes.

The institution further advised anyone in doubt about admission processes to contact the university directly through its official helplines: 07051212222 or 08135513654.
